Basajjansolo Community Development Association (BACODA) and Bamunanika Children's centre (BCC) work with children in the Luwero District of Uganda.
BCC is a facility built to offer HIV/AIDS orphans interaction and phycho-social support, and above all to build their hopes to live positively.
The centre was built by the community and currently looks after 150 orphans.
The HIV/AIDS rate is still 23% in the Luwero District. The burden of handling the consequences of the pandemic, particularly the plight of orphans, remains a huge challenge. The NST Development Trust have made a £500 grant to this project to assist in the provision of education and welfare of these vulnerable children.
